Dr. Marion#39;s interests revolve around the influence of politics on the criminal justice system. This involves not only how the federal, state and local governments create criminal justice policies and agencies, but also how politics affects how criminal justice is implemented by local, state and federal agencies. She teaches courses on American Government, Politics of Criminal Justice, Policy Problems in Criminal Justice, and Political Scandals. She is the author of many books, including A History of Federal Crime Control Initiatives, A Primer in the Politics of Criminal Justice, and Crime and Criminal Justice in Ohio. She has also published numerous articles in various professional journals on how politics and criminal justice are related.
