You already learned how to read a case, spot an issue, and structure an answer under pressure. The material just got harder, and the stakes went up. By the end of 1L, most students can recite IRAC or CREAC in their sleep. The mistake in 2L is treating it like training wheels you've outgrown. You haven't. Crim Pro, Evidence, and Con Law exams are still graded on the same skills: can you spot the issue, state the rule, apply it to messy facts, and land on a conclusion, under time pressure, across dozens of sub-issues at once.

What changes in 2L is density. You'll be issue-spotting three or four doctrines stacked on top of each other in a single fact pattern instead of one. The fix isn't a new framework. It's drilling the same one until it's fast enough to survive a three-hour exam.
