Lori B. Rassas, Esq., has more than two decades of experience working on employment and labor issues and more than 15 years of experience teaching diverse student populations of all levels. She received an LL.M. in Labor and Employment Law from New York University Law School, a J.D. from the George Washington University Law School, and a B.A. from Tufts University. She completed a Certificate Program in Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI for Productivity from eCornell, and she has a TEFL Certification from the TEFL Organization. She is also a member of the New York and New Jersy bars, certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), a trained mediator and arbitrator, and the author of several books on workplace matters.

Throughout her career, the author has provided extensive legal and human resources guidance and counsel on all phases of the employment process to both employers and employees. She has developed a pragmatic approach to the navigation of employment relationships that is derived from her experience working to resolve complex legal issues that have arisen on both sides of the bargaining table. Her current and prior employers include the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Columbia University, and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (now SAG-AFTRA), among others. She also has her own HR consulting practice, through which she offers guidance on human resources matters, executive coaching, and live and web-based training workshops. She has taught at a number of prestigious institutions, including Arizona State University, Sandra Day O’Connor School of Law, Berkeley College School of Law and MBA Program, Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health and School of Professional Studies, Fordham University School of Law, Northeastern University School of Law, Texas A&M University School of Law, and USC Gould School of Law, among others.
