William T. Allen is the Nusbaum Professor of Law and Business and the Director of the Pollack Center for Law and Business at New York University School of Law. Professor William Allen moved to New York University School of Law in 1997, following twelve years as Chancellor of the Court of Chancery of the State of Delaware, widely considered the leading trial court in the U.S. for questions of business and corporation law. At NYU, Allen serves on both the Law School faculty and as Clinical Professor of Business in the Finance Department of the Stern School of Business. At NYU, he founded the Pollack Center for Law & Business to serve as a bridge between the students and faculty of the Law School and the Stern School of Business. See www.stern.nyu.educlb.

The author of various articles on corporate law and corporate governance, Allen teaches Corporation Law, Corporate Governance, Law and Business of Investment Banking, and Mergers and Acquisitions at both the Law School and Stern. He organizes a seminar series on Law & Finance at the Stern School in the spring. Through the Pollack Center for Law & Business, Allen originated the Advanced Professional Certificate in Law & Business, a summer program to enable law students to get graduate-level training in business; organizes a speaker series in which senior business and legal professionals come to campus; and organizes the annual NYU Directors Institute.

Allen serves as counsel to the New York law firm of Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz, with whom he consults concerning questions of corporate law and governance.

Vikramaditya S. Khanna

Vikramaditya Khanna is the William W. Cook Professor of Law at the University of Michigan Law School and Research Member, European Corporate Governance Institute. He earned an S.J.D. from Harvard Law School and his interest areas include Corporate and Securities Laws, Corporate and White Collar Crime, Law and Legal Issues in India, Global Business and Law Practice, Law and Technology, and Law and Economics.He is the current and founding editor ofWhite Collar Crime eJournal and India Law eJournal at the Social Science Research Network, has testified multiple times at the U.S. Congress, and has been an expert consultant in lawsuits and arbitrations. His papers have been published in the Harvard Law Review, Journal of Finance, Journal of Econometrics, Michigan Law Review, American Journal of Comparative Law, and the Georgetown Law Journal, amongst others. News outlets in the US, UK and elsewhere have quoted him and discussed his work and he has presented papers at many venues in the US and internationally.

Sung Eun (Summer) Kim
Professor

Summer Kim is Professor of Law at the University of California, Irvine, School of Law (UCI Law). Professor Kim’s primary research and teaching interests are in corporate law, corporate governance, financial regulation, and contracts. Her scholarship examines how legal and market structures create and deepen inequities in our society, and her work aims to close these gaps.

Professor Kim is also the inaugural Faculty Director of the Korea Law Center at UCI Law and has served in this role since 2016. The mission of the Korea Law Center is to promote practical solutions to problems arising at the intersection of U.S. and Korean laws. In recognition of her service to the Korean community, Professor Kim received the Trailblazer Award from the Orange County Korean American Bar Association (OC KABA) in 2016.

Prior to law teaching, Professor Kim practiced law at Kirkland & Ellis and Shearman & Sterling, where she specialized in the areas of debt finance and capital markets. She received her J.D. from Harvard Law School and her B.A. in Economics, summa cum laude, from Seoul National University. She is a member of the New York and California bars.

Eric A. Zacks
Professor of Law
Wayne State University Law School

Eric Zacks is an associate professor of law at Wayne State University Law School. His scholarship focuses on modern contracting practices and the relevance of behavioral and cognitive sciences to the legal and social construction of contract formation, breach, and enforcement. His work has been published in many law reviews and journals, including the University of Pennsylvania Journal of Business Law, Florida State University Law Review, Journal of Corporation Law, University of Cincinnati Law Review, Marquette Law Review, Penn State Law Review, and William & Mary Business Law Review.

In 2012 and 2013, Zacks was voted Professor of the Year by the second- and third-year law students at Wayne Law. He teaches a variety of business law courses, including Corporate Finance, Mergers and Acquisitions, Securities Regulation, and Corporations, as well as a first-year Contracts course.

Prior to joining Wayne Law, Zacks was a partner in the corporate and securities department of Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn LLP, a Detroit law firm, with a practice focus on complex acquisitions and divestitures, debt and equity financings, and other aspects of corporate transactions. He earned his law degree, magna cum laude, from Harvard Law School and his bachelor of arts degree, with high distinction, from the University of Michigan.
