About the authors
Laurel A. Vietzen

Professor Laurel A. Vietzen has been coordinator of the ABA-approved paralegal program at Elgin Community College since it began in 1989. She received her BA in Journalism from Purdue University and her JD from the Chicago-Kent College of Law. Prior to starting her current position at Elgin Community College, Professor Vietzen practiced transactional law with the Chicago firm of Sonnenschein, Nath Rosenthal and the suburban firm Bean Spencer and taught Lawyering Skills at John Marshall Law School in Chicago. She is coordinator of the Contributor to Planning Environmental Law journal, monthly since 1985.
