About the authors
Jeffrey A. Helewitz

Jeffrey A. Helewitz got his J.D. and LL.M. (International Business & Trade) degrees from Georgetown University Law Center and an M.B.A. (Finance) from New York University. After working for several years in the National Office of the IRS, with a brief assignment to the White House to work on a Presidential Commission, Jeff started a small practice as a legal and financial consultant specializing in corporate and estate planning. He has been an Adjunct Professor of Law at both the CUNY School of Law and Touro College Law Center and an Adjunct Professor of Paralegal Studies at various educational institutions in the New York City area.

Mr. Helewitz recently retired as a Special Referee for the New York State Supreme Court. After a short stint as an Administrative Law Judge with a New York City agency, he now acts as an arbitrator with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority.
