As always, the problems aim for credibility through detail. Nearly all chapters contain short “Pop-up Questions” about the material, with answers a few pages later. These offer students a form of self-study with no need for class discussion. Likewise, the clarity of notes on secondary issues makes it feasible to assign most of them with limited class discussion, freeing class time for the principal cases, the text of the law and rules governing lawyers and judges, and the problems.
